Ways to Make Money Online and Market Yourself to Succeed

Working virtually allows you to stay in touch with a lot of the new and improved marketing strategies there is out on the internet. On a day to day basis there are new marketing strategies, new companies being created, more websites being built, and so on…the internet is an endless array of opportunity.  I am only going to touch on a few of them tonight, there will be more to come in future posts.

There are a lot of great ‘how to’ guru’s out there to coach you on how to create a great online or virtual business. Whether it’s Real Estate, Product Sales or Services, E bay, or whatever niche you find yourself passionate about there is a way to make it happen!

The first thing to do is to research the niche you are interested in and find out the ins and outs of the opportunity and make sure that you are getting your money’s worth. I have been working online for some time and have worked with some interesting and knowledgeable people. Now I have not made my million but I have been inspired by many people and how they have succeeded in the internet market. The opportunities are endless and the people you meet along the way are amazing, from all over the world you will communicate in some way with so many different people.

I have found that I love to find new things that make sense. In the internet world it’s not always what you have to offer but what others have to offer as well. It could be a great coaching opportunity, it could be a simple report or e-book that will change your outlook on life and the way you live it. I have done some research and have found some sites that are quite interesting, that offer some amazing services and some that are just flat out hilarious! Since being in the social marketing world, some have been discovered via twitter, facebook, and just from searching the internet in pure curiosity.

If you have a niche in mind and are wondering how to market it, there is a great blog I have found. I am not one to sign up for RSS Feeds but this guy really seems to know his stuff. I have had the privilege to work with some very successful internet guru’s and I have seen a lot of these tips used and show profits.   1. It allows you to show your tweets, receive recommendations from other connects, upload your resume.
  2. Honestly the information you can share on this site is amazing, you can market yourself online and even refer other clients and/or coworkers to connect with you.
  3. This site is one of the top sites as far as the companies that partner with them. Just of few of the sites that linkedin partners with include: Amazon.com, CNBC, New York Times, Rueters, and that’s just to name a few.   • This site offers an application so you can track your freelancer and protect your investment as well as protect the freelancer from a not so honest buyer.  With constant postings and an oDesk Client that will track everything for you!
  • The freelancer takes tests to prove their knowledge of a specific position or specialty.  This will allow the potential buyer to see if the provider is as knowledgable in a specific field.
  • This site is free to the freelancer; all fees are paid by the buyer.
  • The freelancer is allotted a certain amount of bids per week, this amount is earned by the feedback you receive from buyers and the amount of tests you take to improve your standings.

Well it’s been a very creative evening. I should although start some more promoting of my own. There are coaches in just about all of the marketing and ways of the internet, as well as life coaches that will help you organize your life. Do not get caught up in something that you are not 100% committed to. If the commitment is not there, the success rate will not be very high. What is a Virtual Assistant???? Why should you have one?

We are working adults that provide services within our own home offices. We communicate through e-mail, instant messaging, telephone, fax, mail, and any other communication tool you can think of. There are many advantages to having a VA working for you. There is no office space taken up in your home or office, and all the equipment needed for the position is readily available by the individual you are working for. There are many other advantages of a Virtual assistant.

1. Your VA will help you stay on track and on Schedule – with all the technology and web based calandars you can communicate your schedule, calls and trips via any mobile device.

2. Your VA only works when you need support – Should you need a quick project done or a weeks worth of customer service support he/she will either charge you a project price or maybe even an hourly price. You can discuss this with your assistant on a regular basis or on an as needed basis.

3. You have no wasted time on breaks or personal issues and no extra space is required and your privacy is yours. A VA will provides ongoing support to help you reach your goals. Weather they are Personal of Professional.

Out of Work? Work from Home!!!!

Have you ever wondered how you could start your own business???  Have you ever wondered if working at home is right for you? 

I did – I knew working at home would be the best thing for me, being a single mother of 3 kids and divorced, daycare and gas prices are just too much to justify leaving the house. 

This day in age we all work, remember the books, movies, old westerns?  Those women stayed home and took care of the kids – this was also the days where families stayed together.  We now live in the day of single parents, single entrepreneurs and high costs of living.  Things are definitely more complicated and EXPENSIVE!

With all that said – Who is raising your kids?  I know when I use to work the 9 to 5 office job and would take my child to the day care of choice, the ones watching and taking care of my kids were in fact still kids.  The average age of the child care staff in my daycare was under the age of 25.  Now that is scary – I am currently researching the quality of daycare staff and will include that in my next entry. 

The bottom line is – they are my kids, I want to raise them. 

The unemployment rate in the US is 4.8% that is approximately 7,267,200 Americans out of work.  This is an outrage, with all the internet savvy generation, there is no reason for this, but working from home requires knowledge of the internet, I do not even want to get into the percentages of people who are internet illiterate this day in age.  There is a way out – there are training seminars to teach you the internet, there are also people like me that want to see this unemployment rate decrease.   

Internet guru’s on the net willing to teach this type of knowledge can be expensive.  I am putting together a package that will be inexpensive, will be affordable and will help the economy and that horrible unemployment rate.  I love my work, I love my job, and people hate that I talk about it all the time, I am done talking.  I want to help the single parents out there be able to live their dream without paying a million dollars to do so. 

I am putting together a package and am shooting to have it available by December 1st. Please keep an eye out, in the mean time here are some tips I have for those of you starting your own at home office!!! Starting my at home business has been the best thing ever, no more than the average internet and computer expenses and some little here and there’s that are necessities.  Here are some of the expenses that you might require when running an at home business: 

  • Avoid using your own phone number.

    • Keeping your personal phone line personal is a big help when you decide to start your own business.  When promoting your business you should have a phone line available to take those particular calls.  Depending on your ‘niche’ you can start out with a simple voice mail number to collect your inquiries. 

  •  Business Email Addresses.

    • Have an email address separate from your personal address.  You will be dealing with clients and other businesses.  You will want to be sure this address is professional and respectable.  You do not want your clients sending an email to toosexyforyou@whatever.com.  This would not be professional or respectable.  Of course depending on your niche J

  • Internet connection.

    • You will want a fast connection.  Dial up will not due in a case like this.  Your clients may have requirements that dial up will not handle, also keep in mind that if you are doing an internet research project, dial up will not be the most effective way to do things. It will take longer which will mean – higher cost to client or lower payment to you.  You want to find repeat clients; the more efficient you are the more clients you will gain.
